Here is a new tshirt for the shop both inspired by the ‘I love NY’ famous t shirt and my 9 to 5 office day job. A friend told me he also saw this idea on a mug!
Did you know that the ‘I love NY logo’ was created by the graphic designer Milton Miller in 1977 for an advertising agency to develop a marketing campaign for New York State? He based his idea on a rebus, using a legendary typeface called American Typewriter which is probably the most emblematic. Glaser expected the campaign to last only a couple months but it has been used for decades to promote tourism.
